Defensive Pistol Course

This class is to learn how to draw from a holster. Most of this class is range time. There is a big difference between picking a gun up at the range and knowing how to safely draw from concealment.

Our Defensive pistol class will build upon a foundation of familiarity and comfort in presentation from a holster, and will work on the development of speed and reflexive gun handling skills. Drills will include: drawing from a rapid cadence, initiating the presentation sequence while in motion, threat identification, defensive accuracy, support hand shooting, rapid reloads, cover fundamentals, and basic malfunction drills.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pistol (any caliber 9mm to .45) bring one that functions and you can shoot accurately. NO REVOLVERS
  • Owner’s manual for gun used.
  • Concealment garment
  • Hearing and eye protection
  • OUTSIDE WAISTBAND HOLSTER REQUIRED! – For classroom safety, we require that you have an OWB strong side hip holster that covers trigger guard when gun is in place. Conceal carry holsters (inside waistband – IWB) are not allowed.

  • 350-400 rounds – no hollow point or magnum.
